ALYSSA FOERSTER

Meet Alyssa Foerster

ALYSSA FOERSTER

Volunteer Firefighter for almost 5 years

WHY VOLUNTEER?
I wanted to serve and give back to the Camp Hill community. It looked like a lot of fun too. I like that I can contribute to the community and not just be a member of it. In addition to that, I love the hands-on aspect of it and learning about all the different tools and methods of firefighting. If I had to choose only one thing it would definitely be hanging out with Santa around Christmas!
FAVORITE ACTIVITIES:
I am a sophomore, Construction Management major at Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI. When I am home on break, I like to run as many calls as I can. Outside of volunteering, I like to hang out with my family, friends, and my girlfriend. I like wood working, riding my electric longboard, summer softball, and skiing.

ADVICE IF CONSIDERING VOLUNTEERING:

“Do it!! Don’t even think twice about filling out an application. There’s no harm in trying it. Training is FREE. Who doesn’t love free stuff?? On a more serious note, when you join the CHFD family there’s no need for worrying about whether or not you’ll fit in. Everyone is there to help you learn and pick-up new skills.” Alyssa
